On-line gages usually are installed in a production line gap and allow the
inspection process to measure 100% of product, usually without operator
handling or diversion of parts.

Inspection data is available in real-time to limit scrap and for process
control looping.

This approach is desirable where possible but is costly because:
Integration time is higher.
Gage must be able to withstand physical abuse of production-line.
Line service is impacted by installation.

We don't show any pictures of these gages because they typically also
show proprietary details of customers' production lines.
